ONA, WV-In what has been a fast and furious start to the 2024 season at Ona Speedway, the track is preparing for another one of it’s biggest events this Saturday, May 18th when the Vores Compact Touring Series invades Ona for the 4th Annual Bryce Keyser Fly By 40 presented by Freedom Used Autos.

The Vores Compact Touring Series is the nation’s premier compact touring series.  Saturday’s race at Ona will be round #3 for the tour. The previous two rounds were at the Bristol Motor Speedway and Anderson Speedway and saw Tom Gossar win both races.  Saturday’s race is also a part of the D&J Sales B4 Mini-Series as Ona fans will get to see the 20 lap mini series feature in addition to the Bryce Keyser Fly By 40 presented by Freedom Used Autos for a total of 60 laps of VCTS racing.  The Vores Compact Touring Series consistently has the highest car count of any series that races at Ona as the series has averaged 35 cars in the previous three races at Ona.

One of the biggest headlines coming into the race is can the Ona Speedway regulars maintain their stranglehold on this race over the Vores competitors.  Ona drivers have won all three Vores races at the speedway with Tim Cassidy winning two of the races and Nick Fowler winning the other.  Ona drivers winning over the Vores competitors is a statement of just how tough the Ona Speedway Contempo Trophy & Awards division is.  There’s no other track where the track’s local drivers have had so much success against the Vores travelers.

In addition to all of the exciting Vores Series action, the All Seasons Powersports Late Models, LG Pressure Washing Modifieds, Haunted Majestic Street Stocks, Three Sixteen Motorsports INEX Legends Car Pro, Three Sixteen Motorsports INEX Legends Car Semi-Pro, and Brody Nash Century 21 Crown Vics will all be in action for feature races.  All of the Ona drivers will be anxious to hit the track following a rainout on May 4th and a rainout of the May 4th reschedule on May 11th.

In what is an incredible deal for the fans, there is no increase in ticket prices for this huge event as general admission is only $15 for ages 13 and up and FREE for ages 12 and under.  All access pit passes are $35 for ages 13 and up and FREE for ages 12 and under.  Racing will start at 6:30 pm.

In addition to Saturday’s races, the speedway will also host Freedom Used Autos Test N’ Tune Night on Friday, May 17th where the speedway will be open from 5:00 pm until dark for open practice.  For more information visit www.onaspeedway.com.
