ONA, WV-The Ona Speedway is set for yet another big event this Saturday, August 16th with the State Electric Supply 40 and Legends Car Extravaganza.  Two special events are on tap in what promises to be a late summer classic.

The State Electric Supply 40 is the final race in the three race All Season’s Powersports Late Model Triple Crown Challenge.  The three race mini-series, in it’s debut this season, has seen the track have the highest Late Model car counts in many years.  Defending track champion currently holds a narrow 7 point lead over Matthew Parsons headed into the final race for the mini-series.  This race will also be the longest and highest paying Late Model race of the season with the cars going 40 laps for $1,000 to win.  While this will be the last race in the Triple Crown Challenge, it won’t be the last Late Model race of the season as the class is set to race on September 6th, September 20th, and October 18th.

The State Electric Legends Car Extravaganza will see double the fun with one of Ona’s most exciting classes, the Three Sixteen Motorsports INEX Legends Cars.  The class will run double features with the first one a 15 lap feature starting heads up.  The winner of the first feature will draw for an invert of a 4, 6, 8 or 10 for the second feature which will be 20 laps.  Please note that all cars must finish on the lead lap and finish the race to be eligible to be in the invert.  This is sure to put on a great show for the fans and also creates a huge points opportunity for the drivers with both features full points races as the points season is starting to wind down.
