ONA, WV-With the chance of rain currently in the forecast for Saturday, the CRS Super Truck Series has made the difficult decision to postpone their portion of Saturday’s State Electric Supply Co. Night. With many of the CRS Truck teams traveling 4-5 hours to the speedway and hotel rooms having to be canceled by this evening, the forecast left the series with no other logical decision than to postpone. The CRS Super Trucks at Ona will be rescheduled and the reschedule date will be posted by Sunday at the very latest.
While the CRS Super Truck portion of Saturday’s races has been postponed, the races for Saturday are STILL ON with all of the Ona Speedway classes on the racing card. The only change to the racing card is the removal of the CRS Super Trucks. Because of CRS Super Trucks being off the schedule, the track has adjusted gate opening times to 2:00 pm with practice starting at 3:00 pm and qualifying at 5:00 pm. Racing will still start at 7:00 pm.
Speedway management will be examining the forecast for Saturday closely over the next 48 hours and will post an update on the status of Saturday’s races on Friday evening. With the way the weather has been the past couple weeks in the region, forecasts can change quickly, so the speedway wants to allow more time for the forecast to develop.
The open Test N’ Tune Night scheduled for Friday, August 2nd has been canceled.
