ONA, WV-The Ona Speedway will return to life on Saturday, July 15th for another big night of racing with the One Way Septic Mid-Season Championships and Meet the Drivers Night. Weather has not been kind to Ona Speedway this season with only two events completed up to this point, but the speedway is hopeful for better weather for what is set to be a huge rest of the summer and fall of racing at the speedway.
The July 15th racing card will be headlined by double features for the Gumbo Stop Cafe Crazy Compacts. The first feature will be 15 laps and will start heads up based on how the field qualifies. The second 15 lap feature will feature a complete invert from the cars that finished on the lead lap in the first feature. Each feature will pay full purse and full points. The racing card will also feature All Season’s Powersports Late Models, Patriot Meat Processing Modifieds, Haunted Majestic Street Stocks, Contempo Trophy & Awards UCAR’s, Mays Tire & Service Center INEX Legends Car Pro, and Jeffrey Trucking INEX Legends Car Semi-Pro.
The track will also be hosting Meet the Drivers Night. During intermission, all of the cars will be brought on the frontstretch and fans will be allowed out on track for a special autograph and picture session with the drivers. This is a perfect time for fans to meet and interact with their favorite drivers and get autographs and pictures.
Race teams will be anxious to hit the track for this race. With the weather cancelations, it has shrunk down the number of points races this season, making every race even more crucial in the battle for the Ona Speedway track championships. Drivers will look to have a good finish and set themselves up strong in the points hunt that will heat up the rest of this summer and into the fall.
General admission gates will open at 5:00 pm on July 15th with racing starting at 6:30 pm. General admission is only $15 for ages 13 and up and free for ages 12 and under. All access pit passes are $35 for ages 13 and up and free for ages 12 and under. For more information visit www.onaspeedway.com.
