ONA, WV-Weather has wrecked havoc on the start of the 2023 season at Ona Speedway.  At this point in the year, three races should have been completed.  However, weather has canceled every event up until now besides the two preseason Test N’ Tune’s in April.  Because of the time away from the speedway with the weather, track officials have made the decision to add a Season Tune-Up Practice Day on Thursday, May 25th.

The Season Tune-Up Practice Day will give race teams an opportunity to test their cars in an open practice session from 5:00 pm until dusk.  A strong turnout of cars is expected as many teams have not been on track yet this season.  All teams will be wanting to take advantage of this practice day to get ready for a busy month of June that will see races on June 3rd, 10th, 23rd, and 24th.

The cost for a race car and driver on the Season Tune-Up is only $25 while pit passes are only $10.  Fans are encouraged to come out and enjoy a fun evening at the speedway where they can come into the pits and get up close to the cars and drivers.  This creates a great opportunity for photos and meeting drivers.
