ONA, WV-A huge second half of the season continues at the Ona Speedway this Saturday, September 9th when the Ohio Wheelman Super Stock Series invades Ona for the second time in history.  This will be the third consecutive race Ona has had a touring series visit and will be the first of four huge fall races at the speedway.

Street Stocks have long been a fan favorite at Ona Speedway.  The class is well known for side by side racing, close battles, and beating and banging.  It’s a common occurrence for fans to be standing on their feet watching the action the class produces each race at Ona.  Ona Speedway is a track perfect for Street Stocks, so it’s only fitting one of the country’s premier Street Stock touring series, the Ohio Wheelman Super Stocks visit Ona Speedway.

Saturday’s Jeffers Excavating & Transportation 50 for the Ohio Wheelman Super Stocks is the tours next to last race of the season and only event in September.  This will no doubt make the action even more intense and the entry list even more stacked.  Last season, 16 Street Stocks were in attendance for this race with Indiana’s Josh Poore taking the win.  Fans will get to see a full racing program with the Ohio Wheelman Series as they will run a dash, heat races and the big 50 lap feature.  It will be the richest Street Stock race at Ona this season as it will pay $2,000 to win and $300 to start.

In addition to the Street Stock action, the All Season’s Powersports Late Models, Patriot Meat Processing Modifieds, Contempo Trophy & Awards UCAR’s, Mays Tire & Service Center INEX Legends Car Pro, Jeffrey Trucking INEX Legends Car Semi-Pro, and Gumbo Stop Cafe Crazy Compacts will all be in action for feature races only.  This will be the next to last points race for all of those classes which is sure to make the racing all the more intense as how drivers finish Saturday will set the stage for the Yes Chevrolet/Yes Ford Season Championships on September 23rd.

The racing action will get underway on Saturday at 6:30 pm.  General admission for what will be one of the best shows of the season is $15 for ages 13 and up and free for ages 12 and under.  All access pit passes are $35 for ages 13 and up and free for ages 12 and under.
