Rules for Other Classes
Crown Vics, Street Stocks, and UCAR’s will run under Ona Speedway rules which are listed on the Ona Speedway website.  Legends Cars will run under INEX rules.

 

 

Friday Test N’ Tune & Pit Party
We will have an open Test N’ Tune Day on Friday, October 23rd from 11:00 am until 6:30 pm.  The cost for a pit pass on Friday is $20 for ages 13 and up and FREE for ages 12 and under. Following the Test N’ Tune there will be the Mays Transfer & Contracting/Burkett Nester Race Cars Pit Party under the tech shed with live music starting at 8:00 pm.

 

 

Race Format
All classes will qualify with Modifieds doing single car qualifying and all other divisions doing group qualifying.  The fast qualifier in the Modifieds and Crown Vics will draw for an invert of 4, 5 or 6. For Modifieds and Crown Vics if there are more than 20 entries, the top 16 will lock in during time trials and the remaining cars will run a 15 lap Last Chance race where the top 4 will transfer into the feature.

 

Regular Ona Speedway format will be in place with a competition caution at halfway (if there isn’t a natural yellow between laps 2-halfway) and the choose rule restarts up to 5 laps to go.  The Mountaineer 100 Modified race will have a 10 minute halfway break at lap 50 where teams can make adjustments and refuel cars.  No tire changes will be allowed and drivers can’t exit their cars.

Tires
Modifieds and Street Stocks will be required to race the American Racer 970 tire and we do have those for sale at the track during Friday’s Test N’ Tune and on raceday until 2:30 pm.  The cost is $180 per tire and we do charge a mounting fee of $10 per tire if you want us to mount to your tires.

UCAR’s will see their winners purses with an increase the remainder of the payout will be the same as the weekly payout.

Saturday Admission Prices
General Admission: $20 (ages 13 and up, FREE for ages 12 and under)
Pit Pass: $40 (ages 13 and up, FREE for ages 12 and under)

Camping
Camping is allowed at the speedway.  There is no fee for a driver to camp if bringing a race car.  If not bringing a race car, there is a $25 fee to camp for the weekend.  Absolutely no camp fires allowed on ground, must be in a elevated fire pit.  There is no electric or water hookups.  All campers must be parked in the designated camping area posted HERE, unless you are pulling a race car hauler.

Track Entrance
If using your GPS, be sure that the GPS takes you to US Route 60 and then Howell’s Mill Road to Prichard Road if you are a race hauler.  Some GPS for people coming from northern Ohio will take them off of Route 2 onto country roads, avoid that.  Check the aerial map of the speedway and you will see the speedway is not far from Interstate 64.  At some point in your journey, you will need to be on I-64 or US Route 60.

You must enter the track at the speedway entrance (gravel road, at the end of the airport runway with Ona Speedway sign in front of it).  You cannot enter at the airport (asphalt driveway onto the tarmac).

Transponders
We use Westhold Transponders (these are the yellow transponders, or orange if hard wired).  You must have a transponder to race.  If you do not have one, we will have plenty for rent for $15.  All timing and scoring is done on MyRacePass.
