ONA, WV-Race cars from four different states visited the Ona Speedway on Saturday, October 7th for the annual Trick or Treat Night.  In addition to being Trick or Treat Night where the young race fans enjoyed trick or treat on the speedway, it was also the final tuneup before the biggest race of the season, the prestigious Yes Chevrolet/Yes Ford Mountaineer 100 on Saturday, October 28th.

The night started with the 30 lap Contempo Trophy & Awards UCAR feature.  Jay Workman muscled the lead away from cousin Joe Workman at the start to lead the first lap.  Joe stayed close behind Jay for the first half of the race while intense racing occured through the field between Nick Fowler and Tim Cassidy for the fifth position.  The AirTech Heating & Cooling competition caution would fly on lap 15.  On the restart, Jay Workman continued with the lead and would stretch it out as the laps went on to come across the checkered flag and take the feature win!  Joe Workman finished second with Keith Watson making the pass on Chris Deskins to claim his best finish of the season.  Deskins finished fourth with Tim Cassidy fifth.

Rob Dunlap took the lead to start the nights 20 lap Mays Tire & Service Center/Jeffrey Trucking INEX Legends Car feature with fast qualifier Jason Garrett quickly moving into the second position to challenge Dunlap.  After a few laps of battling, Garrett would use the high line to pass Dunlap and take the lead on lap four.  Meanwhile Adam Jeffrey would make the pass on Dunlap to move into the second position.  The AirTech Heating & Cooling competition caution would fly on lap 10.  During the caution, the skies opened up briefly as a light shower hit the speedway.  The race would be delayed approximately 15 minutes and then resume as the track was never lost.  On the restart, Garrett would continue with the lead and come across the checkered flag to take the feature win!  Jeffrey finished second with Rob Dunlap third, Randall Cline fourth, and Jay Dunlap fifth.

Tommy Rowe and Kenny Chapman had an intense duel for the lead to start the nights 25 lap Haunted Majestic Street Stock feature with Rowe leading and Chapman in second.  After several laps of battling, Chapman would make the pass on lap 8 to take the lead.  Behind Chapman, Rowe and Mike Christy would then battle it out for the second position lap after lap.  Christy would finally make the pass underneath of Rowe with two laps to go to take the position.  Chapman would lead the remaining laps to take the feature win!  Christy finished second with Marty Powers third, Rowe fourth, and Chris Wheeler fifth.

Jeremy Cooper used highside momentum at the start of the nights 20 lap Patriot Meat Processing Modified feature to clear pole sitter Wes Smith into turn one and take the lead.  Cooper led the first 10 laps of the race with the AirTech Heating & Cooling competition caution flag flying.  On the choose, both Cooper and Smith stayed low while third place runner Andy Booten went high.  On the restart, Cooper and Booten battled side by side for the lead through turns one and two with Cooper clearing Booten and Booten tucking in second place.  Another AirTech Heating & Cooling caution would fly the following lap for Benny Hickle who stopped.  On the restart, Smith would be able to move back into the second position and chase down Cooper.  As the laps wore down, Smith caught up Cooper but would come a car length short at the checkered flag as Cooper would take the feature win!  Smith finished second with Booten third, Hickle fourth, and Adam Keasling fifth.

The final race of the night would be the 20 lap Gumbo Stop Cafe Crazy Compact feature.  Stacie Watson would take the lead from the outside pole and hold off several challenges from Evan Strickland to take the feature win!  Strickland finished second with Andy Ennis third.
