ONA, WV-The Ona Speedway will be in action Saturday for the Summer Bash. In addition to 6 exciting points feature races, the track will have the Crown Vic Underdog Shootout, a 15 lap race at the end of the night for drivers who have never won a Crown Vic feature at Ona. The Great Lakes Truck Tour was scheduled to be in attendance but canceled their portion due to an entry list of only a few trucks.
There are lots of storylines heading into Saturday as well for the Ona Speedway divisions that will be in action. With an off week back on May 30th, this will be the first time the Late Models will hit the track since May 2nd as those drivers will be hungry to get back on track and try to get a win. The Street Stock, UCAR, and Legends Car divisions are wide open this year with two different winners in two races as we will see if we get a third different winner in those divisions on Saturday. Drivers in the Crown Vic division will be trying to beat Ryan Tamburro and drivers in the Crazy Compact division will be trying to beat Stacie Watson as both of those drivers have swept the opening two races in those divisions.
Pit gates will open Saturday at 1:30 pm while general admission gates will open at 5:00 pm. Racing will start at 6:30 pm. General admission is only $15 for ages 13 and up and FREE for ages 12 and under. All access pit passes are $35 for ages 13 and up and FREE for ages 12 and under.
The track will also host an open Test N’ Tune Night on Friday, June 12th from 5:30-8:30 pm as drivers will get a chance to tune cars in before Saturday’s race. The cost is $25 for race car and driver and $10 for a pit pass.
