ONA, WV-The Ona Speedway will be rocking with racing and entertainment this upcoming weekend for the 4th Annual K&J Excavation & Demolition Firecracker Extravaganza and Yes Chevrolet/Yes Ford Fireworks Show. The speedway has set up a huge two nights of racing packed with special races, one of the regions biggest fireworks shows, autograph & picture opportunities, and a big post race party. There is literally something for everyone at the speedway this weekend.
Friday night’s program has been boosted to perhaps the biggest Friday night racing program the track has hosted. Six classes will be on tap with Patriot Meat Processing Modifieds, Sport Mods, Classic Cars, Contempo Trophy & Awards UCAR’s, Jeffrey Trucking INEX Legends Car Semi-Pro, and Gumbo Stop Cafe Crazy Compacts. This is the most racing classes seen for a Friday night show at Ona as it offers several of Ona’s favorite classes plus the return of Sport Mods and Classic Cars.
During the intermission on Friday, the cars will be brought on the frontstretch and spectators allowed on track for a special meet the drivers session. This will allow fans to get up close to the drivers and get autographs and pictures with some of their favorite Ona Speedway drivers. Following the races, all fans will be allowed in the pits for the big Pit Party with The King of Karaoke Larry Adkins under the tech shed.
The action heats up even more on Saturday with the biggest Ona sanctioned Contempo Trophy & Awards UCAR race of the season, the Firecracker 40. The zMax Pro Grand National Tour Baby Grand Stock Cars will also return to the speedway. All Seasons Powersports Late Models, Patriot Meat Processing Modifieds, Haunted Majestic Street Stocks, and Mays Tire & Service Center INEX Legends Car Pro will also be on the racing schedule. Following the races, West Virginia’s most thrilling fireworks show will take place with the Yes Chevrolet/Yes Ford Fireworks Show.
The speedway is offering all of this entertainment at a value priced ticket price. Friday’s general admission is only $10 for ages 13 and up and Saturday’s general admission is only $15 for ages 13 and up. Kids 12 and under are FREE all weekend!
