ONA, WV-The Ona Speedway will be in action this Saturday, September 25th for the Fall Clash.  Originally, the track was scheduled to run the Yes Chevrolet/Yes Ford Mountaineer 100 this weekend, but the national tire shortage forced the postponement of that event to November 5th-6th when an ample amount of tires will be available.  In order to not have such a long break between shows, the track added this weekend’s Fall Clash.  The Fall Clash creates one more opportunity for drivers to earn a checkered flag in this non-points fall racing extravaganza.  McCam Builders Modifieds, Rocky Top’s Pizza Street Stocks, Contempo Trophy & Awards U Cars, Southern Ohio Speed INEX Legends Car Pro, Keaton’s Collision Center INEX Legends Car Semi-Pro, and Chandler Auto Performance Crazy Compacts will all be on the racing card.

McCam Builders Modifieds Preview
The parity in the McCam Builders Modified class has been unreal.  Last race, the entire field was separated by less than 3 tenths of a second in time trials.  Andy Booten is the only driver to win multiple races in the class this season with Jake Keaton, Jacob Bell, Jamie Womack, and Jason Garrett also claiming feature wins.  Drivers such as Steve Hass, Jeremy Cooper, Wes Smith, and Hubie Hatfield have all ran up front this season and will no doubt be hungry to visit victory lane before the season is over.  The racing in the Modifieds is as intense as we’ve ever seen it.  With no points on the line and drivers tuning up for November’s Mountaineer 100, expect Saturday’s feature to produce the same fireworks we’ve seen all season long.

Rocky Top’s Pizza Street Stock Preview
The competition in the Rocky Top’s Pizza Street Stock class was already stout; the late season addition of 2020 track champion Brett Carey to this year’s roster has made the class all the much more competitive.  Carey bested the largest field of cars in the class this season to take the win in his return race back on September 11th.  J. R. Webb is the only driver with more than one win in the class this season while Carey, Clinton Thompson, Clark Perry, Thomas Mays, Kenny Chapman, and Chris Jividen all have one win each.  Will one of these drivers be the second driver with multiple wins this season or will we see another new winner?  With most other regional tracks not racing this Saturday, there is also the possibility of another out of town driver such as Jason Parson’s coming in and adding to the competition.  One thing is for sure, fans can expect to see another great show with the class on Saturday.

Contempo Trophy & Awards U Car Preview
Keith Watson survived to win his 11th career track championship back on September 11th while rookie driver Nick Fowler proved he’s going to be a serious contender to win the 2022 title as he claimed his second feature win of the year.  The racing in the Contempo Trophy & Awards U Car class this season is as intense as we’ve ever seen it with strong car counts every week and even stronger competition.  Adding to the tough competition the last race was Jay Workman who posted a season best second place finish in his PT Cruiser and the return of Joe Workman to the class who finished 3rd.  David Adkins, one of the strongest drivers in the first half of the season, has been plagued by bad luck the second half and will look to grab his first win of the season with the likes of the Workman’s, Michael Hughart, Stephen Kuhn, Reuben Fetty, Jason Price, Marcus Esch, Chris Wheeler, and more.  With only a few opportunities left to win a race in 2021, expect Saturday’s non-points event to be one of the most exciting of the season.

Southern Ohio Speed INEX Legends Car Pro Preview
Saturday’s Southern Ohio Speed INEX Legends Car Pro feature could be one of the most exciting of the season in the class.  It will be a rare opportunity for a 2021 champion vs 2021 champion clash as 2021 Legends Pro champion Steve Swann will battle 2021 Legends Semi-Pro champion Zach Steele for the first time.  Steele impressed in his rookie season, winning the title and his third feature in a row back on September 11th.  With it being Steele’s third win, he is forced to move up to the Pro class where he will battle his mentor and friend Swann.  Swann has won all but two features this season, but could see his toughest competitor on Saturday being Steele along with Tyler Martin and Jake Keaton who have came on strong the second half of the season.

Keaton’s Collision Center INEX Legends Car Semi-Pro Preview
With Steele moving up, second place points finisher Matthew Martin comes into Saturday as the favorite to take the win.  Martin is the only driver with more than one win in the class as a win Saturday would move him up to the Pro class for the rest of the season.  As has been the theme in all classes for the Fall Clash, it presents another late season opportunity for a driver to get their first win of the season.  Some drivers in the class that have been fast all year but have yet to win include Dale Garrett, Thomas Bailey, Jay Dunlap, Aaron Auffant, and Brad Bowen who will be looking for some fall magic to visit victory lane on Saturday.

Chandler Auto Performance Crazy Compact Preview
The Chandler Auto Performance Crazy Compacts are coming off of a dramatic conclusion to their year long points battle with Kassidee Bush claiming her first track championship and possibly becoming the first female driver to ever win a track championship at Ona.  With points no longer all the line, all of the drivers in this class will be laying it all on the line for an opportunity to get a race win in the Fall Clash.  This class always produces some of the wildest racing of the night and 2021 has proven to be a season where anybody can win on any given night in the class.  Saturday’s Fall Clash has all the makings for another exciting feature in this class on Saturday.
