ONA, WV-The second and final preseason Test N’ Tune of the season will take place this Saturday, April 24th.  This Test N’ Tune will hold a lot of importance to race teams as it will be the final week of practice before the big 2nd Annual Yes Chevrolet/Yes Ford Cabin Fever Bash that will start the season on April 30th-May 1st.

The first preseason Test N’ Tune on Saturday, April 17th saw a large car count with well over 40 cars in attendance, making it one of the highest attended preseason Test N’ Tune’s at Ona in many years.  The track overcame a couple of light showers and sprinkles throughout the day to complete practice without any delays.  Test N’ Tune #1 saw the debut of many new cars, rookie drivers making their first laps on the track, and many new drivers in new classes.  The day went incident free until the final minutes of practice when rookie driver Dale Garrett had a brake failure and slammed the turn 3 guardrail in his Legends Car.  Garrett was ok and the team expects to have the car repaired in time for the first race of the season.

Test N’ Tune #1 brought even more excitement and anticipation to what was already a highly anticipated season.  Every class has seen an increase in race teams and based on the lap times seen in practice, the competition is going to be off the charts this season.  This Saturday’s Test N’ Tune is expected to see another good car turnout as some race teams didn’t have their cars ready yet for the first practice.

Test N’ Tune #2 will feature open practice from noon until 5:00 pm this Saturday.  Pit passes are only $5 and the cost to practice a race car is only $20.  This creates another opportunity for fans to visit the pit area at a highly discounted price to watch the on track action, meet the drivers, and get up close to the race cars.  For more information visit www.onaspeedway.com.
