ONA, WV-The Ona Speedway is preparing for one it’s most fan friendly nights of the season, Nitro Construction Services Kids Night set for Saturday, June 14th. This race will feature the ultimate night of racing and family fun.
Headlining the Kids Night activities will be the Electrified Monster Truck on display in the general admission area. Children will be able to get up close to a real monster truck, take pictures, and get to meet the driver and crew of the truck. A HUGE Monster Truck jump house/slide inflatable will also be on display in the general admission area that kids can play on. The first 140 kids through the ticket gate will also receive a FREE race car toy giveaway.
The racing program will be headlined by the much anticipated return of the Super Cup Stock Car Series. The series, which was founded in 2007 as a replacement to the defunct Hooters Pro Cup Series, will feature the return of full bodied stock car racing to Ona Speedway. The cars resemble Gen 4 style NASCAR Stock Cars. This will be the fifth time the series has raced at Ona Speedway and the first time since the 2013 season. The series will feature an exciting Twin 40’s format that will see the cars race in two 40 lap features during the night. Petersburg, West Virginia driver Brent Nelson leads the series points headed into Saturday.
In addition to racing with the Super Cup Stock Car Series, the LG Pressure Washing Modifieds, Eco First Street Stocks, Contempo Trophy & Awards UCAR’s, Three Sixteen Motorsports INEX Legends Cars, Brody Nash Century 21 Crown Vics, Crazy Compacts and Keaton’s Collision Center Juice Boxes will all be in action for feature races only. The jam packed racing card will give race fans so much good racing action on Saturday!
Pit gates will open Saturday at 1:00 pm while general admission gates will open at 5:00 pm. The Monster Truck and Monster Truck Inflatable will start at 6:00 pm while racing will start at 6:30 pm. General admission is only $15 for ages 13 and up and FREE for ages 12 and under. All access pit passes are $35 for ages 13 and up and FREE for ages 12 and under.
