ONA, WV-Wet weather has forced the cancelation of Star Wars Night for the second consecutive week on Saturday, May 11th. Week long rains and persistent rains Friday evening left standing water in much of the pit area and with an 80% chance of rain during the afternoon on Saturday, there is just no way the grounds will be in good enough condition to host an event.
Star Wars Night will now be merged with Express Employment Kids Night on Saturday, June 15th where we will do all of the Star Wars Night festivities along with all of the Kids Night festivities. The May 11th race date will not be made up.
The Ona Speedway will be back in action next Saturday, May 18th for one of it’s biggest races of the season, the 4th Annual Bryce Keyser Fly By 40 presented by Freedom Used Autos featuring the Vores Compact Touring Series. All Ona Speedway classes will be in action, with the exception of the Contempo Trophy & Awards UCAR division who will be racing with the Vores Series. The speedway will also host an open Test N’ Tune Night on Friday, May 17th from 5:00 pm until dark.
