ONA, WV-With nearly every weather app calling for a 70-90% chance of rain during the day and evening for Saturday, the Ona Speedway has made the decision to cancel on May 4th and reschedule Star Wars Night to the designated May rain date of next Saturday, May 11th. Unfortunately the forecast has remained bad for Saturday for the entire week and with no change in the forecast, the speedway wanted to make the decision early to give everyone time to make other plans.
The speedway is coming off of two exciting races in a row to start the season, including one of the most exciting Mays Transfer & Contracting/Jeffers Excavation & Transportation Mountaineer 100’s in recent memory last weekend. The speedway will have a big month in May as well with Stars Wars Night now set for Saturday, May 11th then the following weekend the Vores Compact Touring Series invades Ona for one of the biggest races of the season on Saturday, May 18th in the 4th Annual Bryce Keyser Fly By 40 presented by Freedom Used Autos.
