ONA, WV-The Ona Speedway will be back in action for the third consecutive Saturday with Star Wars Night set for this Saturday, May 4th. The night will feature a complete 7 division racing program of All Seasons Powersports Late Models, LG Pressure Washing Modifieds, Haunted Majestic Street Stocks, Contempo Trophy & Awards UCAR’s, Three Sixteen Motorsports INEX Legends Car Pro, Three Sixteen Motorsports INEX Legends Car Semi-Pro, and Brody Nash Century 21 Crown Vics.
Coming off of a thrilling night of racing with the Mays Transfer & Contracting/Jeffers Excavation & Transportation Mountaineer 100 last Saturday, race fans can expect another great night of racing this Saturday. For competitors, they will all want to end this three race stretch of consecutive races strong as the speedway will shift towards a more traditional every other week schedule for the remainder of the season.
In addition to all of the exciting racing, there will be several special Star Wars themed promotions. The first 100 kids through the ticket gate will receive a FREE Star Wars PEZ Toy. The speedway also has 168 Star Wars Mandalorian Eggs we will be giving away throughout the night. Each feature winner as well as one lucky child will receive a light saber. Fans are also encouraged to wear their Star Wars gear to the track as there will be a Star Wars Costume Contest as well with trophies to the kids and adult winner. These special promotions are all part of the speedways goal of making 2024 the season of fun and continue to provide ways to bring in new fans.
The action will all get underway with racing at 6:30 pm. General admission gates will open at 5:00 pm. General admission is only $15 for ages 13 and up and FREE for kids ages 12 and under. All access pit passes are $35 for ages 13 and up and FREE for kids ages 12 and under. All ticket and concession sales are cash only.
